Give thanks, it's a new episode of Monstark & Me! California is on fire again, and everything is in shambles. Somehow, we soldier through and manage to record our longest episode yet, and I think one of the better ones. This one goes deep. Sorry for the lack of an intro, it's late and I'm tired.
It’s the return of artist Dave Correia! We discuss the making of our Elder Thing sculpture, which was featured at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival. We talk through the process, challenges and lessons that came with making a ten foot tall tentacle monster on a tiny budget.
This week features writer Kira Cul'tofay, who may or may not be an elf. We discuss creating fantasy worlds, human society, Fairie lore and how today's fantasy story could become tomorrow's worldwide religion!
Mark's had a tough couple of weeks, and he's boiling mad (almost literally). Bryan debuts his super evil new voice which hurts after a few minutes. We talk about disappearing cat poop, tulpas, aliens, and movies.
This episode is an Ouroboros. Somehow, everything winds up full circle. Fleas have Bryan questioning his very sanity, Monstark wants people to use critical thinking on Social Media, and we respond to a message from a listener. Buckle up, it's a long, bumpy ride.
This week's episode features sculptor and toy designer Jay222! We discuss the need to sculpt, origins, time travel and how Jay would "sculpt a town. Like, a whole fucking town." Don't miss the post-interview bonus for the beer/whiskey tasting (which is why we were tipsy this episode) and merkin chat!
